Hijrah Calendar: Call for Art

Calling all artists!  The Islamic Society of North America is currently looking for art submissions for the Hijrah calendar for 1429.  This year’s theme is motivational Islamic terms. Similar to the motivational office art work with words like determination, strength or unity ISNA is searching for words that embody Islamic terms such as sabr, Islam and ummah.

All entries will be framed by a heavy black border with the word and an inspirational phrase.

Please submit art work or photographs with a word that it symbolizes.  Send submissions to achaplin@isna.net by Wednesday, August 15th, 2007.

Submissions to the calendar are wholly voluntary and there is no monetary compensation.  All submissions will be considered and selected at ISNA's discretion.

The copyright for the calendar as a whole will be assigned to ISNA.  The copyrights for the individual piece remain with the artist.  ISNA warrants the use of the work solely for the 1429 Hijrah calendar.  ISNA will not reproduce the work or any part thereof for any other purpose, and ISNA will forward reprint requests to the artist.
